Tips for applicants

We are looking for strong personalities to work with us on innovative and automated production processes and to tackle challenging projects with us. We therefore look forward to receiving authentic application documents that give us an insight into your personality.

Your application documents

If you choose the right contact person and a suitable subject, your application will be more personal. We want to inspire our customers from the very beginning – how can you inspire us? What sparks your motivation? What are your goals? Let us know what you like about Cevotec and the position! Check the requirements of the offered position: to what extent do you meet them? Why are you a good candidate (f/m/d)? It is recommended that you only refer to the experiences relevant to the position – after all, we want to save some topics for the interviews. If requested in the job offer, please also indicate your expected salary and availability.

First of all, it is important to us that you include your contact details in your CV – after all, we want to have the opportunity to communicate with you! Also a chronology of your professional experience – starting with your last position, ending with your first position – including an insight into the relevant fields of activity, makes the hearts of our recruiting team beat faster. And finally, both your educational background with corresponding focus of studies as well as your special knowledge and skills are revealing for us. In general, we are interested in all of your experiences, so please feel free to tell us about them in detail in your resume. Preferably you structure this in tabular form and list precisely, with a focus on your relevant activities, the results you have achieved and the skills you have learned, so that we get a good overview.

A photo is of course not mandatory, but it can help to personalize your application.

Please send us your relevant references and certificates so that we can get a general impression of you and your qualifications. Even for positions in which we require extensive work experience, we need your high school or equivalent diploma to fully evaluate your application.

Please send us your documents in PDF format only. The cover letter should not exceed one DIN A4 page. The CV should not be longer than two DIN A4 pages. In case of many attachments, please aggregate them into one document.

Our customers expect high quality from us every day. Therefore, we check important documents before sending them in a 4-eyes principle and pay special attention to spelling mistakes and an appealing format that makes the documents easier to read, in addition to the actual content. From experience we can say: this is also a good principle for your application documents.

The interviews

If your application documents have convinced us, the next step is an initial telephone interview with our HR manager. The main purpose of the telephone interview is to find out if the chemistry could be right, to clarify initial questions that have arisen from the application, and to talk about your motivation and interests. Why are you applying to us and for this position? The best way to prepare for this interview is to have your resume at hand and the job description in your mind.

In order to learn about your skills as well as your professional knowledge, a second, virtual interview with the supervisor takes place, especially for applicants for a permanent position. The supervisor also is interested in getting a first impression of you. He/she would like to see whether you fit with us professionally and meet the role requirements, and of course the supervisor also answers any questions you may have. Depending on the job profile, we will ask you in advance to prepare a presentation about your relevant experience or to work on a case study, which we will then discuss in an interview. Such work samples serve to find out which approach you use to work on tasks. We want to ensure that the collaboration can work well in the future.

Your first step to us:

Congratulations! You have mastered the first hurdle and have been invited by us for a personal interview. Go into the interview with confidence and convince us – we would like to get to know you as a person and learn how you can contribute to our growth!

Your Outfit:

We attach great importance to high quality work and communication with our customers and colleagues (f/m/d). You should be able to achieve these goals in your outfit. Our office has a casual dress code; you will therefore not find employees wearing suits and ties in our office. Above all it is important that you feel comfortable in your clothes and you can work well.

The interview:

Stay honest and authentic in the interview. We are not looking for someone who is pretentious and plays a role, because after all we want to know if we are a good match for each other in the long run! Let us talk about the offered position on eye level and give us an insight into your personality. Our questions usually focus on your experiences and skills – good answers on your part include descriptions of situations and case studies in which you have already proven your abilities and in which you have gained relevant experience. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to get to know us and learn more about the position, the company and your future colleagues (m/f/d) – it’s useful if you prepare some questions. Depending on the job profile, you will have one or more interviews during your appointment with us. We will inform you about the details as well as the time frame individually with the invitation.
