With the first software release of 2025, Cevotec introduces ARTIST STUDIO version 2025.0.7—featuring targeted enhancements that further improve the efficient design and offline robot programming of composite parts with Fiber Patch Placement (FPP) technology.

Following the 2024.3.4 release, this update marks an important step forward in functionality and usability.

Key Updates in Version 2025.0.7:

Patch Artist

• A new option for patch layers restricts slave curve creation to the forward orientation. This simplifies alignment with master curves, which is especially useful for designing pressure vessel dome reinforcements.

• Users can now lower rendering resolution to improve performance on high-resolution displays.

• Multiple CAD files can now be imported in a single step, streamlining the design process.

Motion Artist

• For SAMBA Pro PV users, status and turn can now be assigned to taught positions, enhancing flexibility in motion definitions.

• Collision checks have been optimized to ignore the interaction between static elements of the cell, reducing false positives and accelerating offline robot programming

General Enhancements

• Full Unicode support allows non-Latin character sets, improving usability for international teams, including users in Japan and China.

• Additional model safety checks help prevent accidental deletion of components that are still referenced.

• When opening a file created in a newer version of ARTIST STUDIO, users will now see clearer, more informative messages about unsupported features.
• Expanded scripting support includes new commands for layer handling, extractions, and general actions—providing greater automation flexibility.
