In the last 2 months, two new team members joined our Production Technology team: Robert Anthony and Alexis Ehrlich.

Rob, originally from South Africa, holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Over the past few years, he has gained a lot of experience in developing and designing machinery equipment. After working for three years for Henred Fruehauf and being responsible for the design and assembly of in-house production machinery, he moved to Germany where he worked for Robotise AG in the field of service robotics.

„I think FPP is an exciting technology. I can learn and also contribute a lot to my team at Cevotec“ states r. In his Rob new position as Production Technology Engineer, he will focus on the design and development of our SAMBA PV system dedicated for hydrogentank reinforcements with Fiber Patch Placement .

Alexis has joined Cevotec as an Automation & Control Engineer. His responsibilities encompass programming our SAMBA systems and their HMI.After graduating from the University of Washington in the U.S. with a degree in Controls Engineering, Alexis gained extensive experience as a Controls Engineer in the industry. He spent over four years at Electroimpact, where he worked on control systems for production machines used in the manufacturing of carbon fiber aerospace components. Afterwards, he was associated with Essentium, a company specializing in 3D printers.

Now Alexis is happy to be working at Cevotec where he can see his work become reality in our cevoLab and make our SAMBA robots dance.

We’re happy to have such motivated new colleagues on board and are looking forward to setting milestones in composites with Rob and Alexis!
