New technical director for Cevotec

Coordinating the development and application of Fiber Patch Placement technology – that’s the core mission for Cevotec’s new Technical Director. And with Dr. Florian Lenz, we found a perfect fit! Florian completed his studies of mechanical engineering in the field of lightweight construction and plastics technology at the TU Dresden with a doctorate about modular construction methods and continuous manufacturing processes for composite drive shafts. As development engineer with a management position, he put his knowledge into praxis with focus on fiber composite construction methods and processes at LZS GmbH. Prior to Cevotec, he also engaged as an internal consultant at NEMOS GmbH on manufacturing technologies and business development.

Technology also plays a role in Florian’s leisure time: “I like to unpack my camera, preferably still with film roll and in black and white.” And what made him start with Cevotec? “I believe in the potential and necessity of automation solutions for composite manufacturing”, states Florian. “But ultimately, the deciding factor for me was the immediately noticeable spirit and drive of the Cevotec team to push this topic forward together.”
